Remember when you first unloaded your stuff and setup your kitchen cabinet pantry? Everything in its place, all organized and lined up perfectly. Does it still look like that? Never mind, silly question.
Kitchen pantry cabinets are wonderful spaces to keep food and other cooking items stored, organized and out of plain sight. The problem is that most pantry cabinets evolve into a loosely organized vacuum in space where items go to hide and are never seen again.
Let’s take a look at a few steps you can take to whip that pantry cabinet back into a usable space where everything is visible, accessible, and organized. This may not be for the faint of heart but it needs to be done and it will take a bit of time.
First thing is to completely empty the pantry. Yes, COMPLETELY! How can you expect to clean and arrange if it is not completely empty? Did Picasso begin painting with an already painted on canvas? Okay, I digress but you know what I mean. This is also a good time to discard items that are bad or broken.
The next is to completely clean the pantry and all of the items you pulled out of it. Good old cleaner, water and a scrubber. At this time it is also a good idea to put all like items together to give you an idea of the different types of items you have and how many you have.
